Michigan's most trusted firearms authority a powerful e-commerce and information platform for a premier multi-location gun retailer built on responsibility and community.
Armed in Michigan is a premier firearms retailer with two physical storefronts in Westland and Highland Township, Michigan. Beyond an extensive inventory of handguns, rifles, ammunition, and tactical accessories, they offer CPL (Concealed Pistol License) classes and comprehensive firearm safety training positioning them as a trusted resource for responsible gun ownership in the state.
We designed a WooCommerce platform that puts product expertise front and centre detailed specification filters, video buying guides, and a CPL class scheduling portal integrated directly into the main navigation. Trust signals (background check information, safety certification, Michigan compliance) are embedded throughout the purchase journey to reassure first-time buyers.
Online revenue grew 165% in the first quarter, with CPL class registrations becoming the platform's most-visited non-product page within 30 days of launch.

Firearms retail online requires navigating a complex trust landscape compliance regulations, age verification, safety messaging, and responsible ownership education must all coexist with a high-converting product catalogue. Armed in Michigan's original site felt generic and untrusted, pushing potential buyers to competitors with clearer expertise signals.
We led with community and responsibility rather than just product. The homepage hero features safety education prominently, with "For Michigan, By Michigan" messaging establishing local authority. Products are presented with specification-led filtering (calibre, action, intended use) that signals expert curation. The CPL class registration system was designed as a high-priority pathway equal in prominence to the product catalogue.
Online revenue grew 165%. CPL class registrations became the most-visited non-product page within 30 days. The age verification and compliance messaging reduced legal exposure while actually increasing conversion as first-time buyers felt the legitimacy of the platform against unlicensed alternatives.
A palette built on deep red authority, tactical black, and crisp white communicating expertise and responsibility without intimidation.
